Founded in 2018 in Bellport, New York, Elisabetta Bellu is a luxury brand that focuses on quality and craftsmanship. Elisabetta, the company's head designer, was born in Sardinia, Italy. The granddaughter of a traditional Sardinian seamstress, she learned the dressmaking trade as a young girl. After earning her Bachelor’s degree and feeling the need to deepen her knowledge of design she went to school for garment construction and fashion, earning two Pattern-making diplomas and a private master's/Alta Formazione in Fashion Design from the Accademia Costume e Moda in Rome.
 
Initially, she was hired to offer her expertise in both design and dress construction to several designers. Consequently, she decided that it was time to embark on a new phase of her career expressing her own vision and design sensibility.

Elisabetta's collections are handcrafted in limited editions and have being sold in Bellport and The Hamptons, NY. They are conceived of and created keeping in mind femininity and elegance, letting each material speak to enhance the woman's body. The entire design process, from the initial sketches, to the patterns, to the final product, takes place in her Bellport Studio.

In 2021 Elisabetta Bellu expanded to also offer bespoke garments and personal tailor services,  transforming her business in a 360 degree fashion experience. 

Elisabetta Bellu is a luxury brand born from the marriage of European design and American sensibility, as is its head designer herself. It represents a vision born of European roots yet free of the pretensions of its old-world predecessors. It is a representation of the modern American woman--a worldly woman who knows what came before, but who is ready for what's next.
